- Is this an auction?
- No. You never beat someone else’s bid. You buy the next slot in a first-come queue. Spending more only buys more guaranteed time.
- What is overtime?
- When your guaranteed time ends and nobody is waiting, you stay on the homepage for free until the next paid slot starts. Overtime is not guaranteed. That’s the luck.
- Why do early slots get more time?
- Because they took the risk before the experiment proved itself. Slots 1 to 10 get 10 minutes per dollar, and the rate halves at each step down the ladder: 5 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute, then 30 seconds from #1,001 on. Being early is worth twenty times being late, and the entry price still buys something real at the bottom. No slot can run longer than two hours, whatever anyone pays.
- Can the same site buy twice?
- Yes, as often as you like. The only exception is the founding ten, where a domain may hold one slot, because one buyer could otherwise take the whole phase for $50. Every purchase after that is a new slot at the current rate and waits its turn like any other.
- How do payments work?
- Live charges go through Polar, a Merchant of Record. You pay in USD on a card. Polar handles VAT/sales tax. This preview can run a demo checkout until Polar keys are connected.
- What content is allowed?
- A public website, a short description, a logo. No scripts, no prohibited content, no blocked domains. Placements can be taken down.
